2010 Conference Car Show / Cruise Night
The Brandywine on Route 2 in Dixon hosted a 1950s menu with hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, and root beer floats while the parking lot became the venue for a car show. Mike Hocker, the Executive Director of the Ohio Lincoln Highway Historical Byway and one of the key organizers of what I am now calling the Ohio $10,000,000+ Yard Sale.
Everett and Elsie Kraft brought their Ford Model "A."
The Cassler family of Ohio and the Wunsch family of Colorado came in style (see below, too).
Merle Deets brought his 'Mafia Staff Car' to the Car Show
A group of 'Fonzis,' the Cassler family, the Wunsch family, and others at the Cruise Night dinner,
complete with pink fuzzy dice on the table. Illinois Chapter President Wayne Silvius is in the blue conference shirt in the middle. Another conference tradition is to have shirts made for each conference that features something unique about that state. The 2010 blue shirt features the Dixon Arch.
